As a hi-tech manufacturing business, our technical team includes experts and engineers with experience in the acoustic, mechanical, electrical, software and embedded software domains. We operate from locations at either end of Canada.
What you’ll do:
- Pick parts in the warehouse to provide accurate and on time job material kits; kits are ready for the floor 2 weeks prior to the scheduled start week
- Receive parts, physical and electronic records match, nothing in the backlog, nothing overlooked. The purchasing team can rely on ERP to make the right decisions.
- Perform and monitor weekly inventory cycle counts
- Follow documentation for receiving and qualifying parts, follow ESD procedures to protect sensitive inventory
- Work with purchasers to identify and resolve potential production delays; before they become a problem
- Respond to production team requests
- Maintain and ensure accuracy of electronic inventory records
- Maintain and perform cleanliness audits of inventory aisles
- Participate in quarterly full inventory counts
- Other duties as required
Accountabilities:
- Kit timeliness: Job kits are completed 2 weeks before scheduled production week.
- Physical Accuracy: Less than 1% of delivered kits are returned. Kits are correct, complete, and have quality parts.
- Inventory accuracy: Net adjustments for inventory counts of instruments part shelves are <2% of stock value.
- Internal Customers: Addresses the needs of internal customers in a way that reinforces cohesion and alignment.
Competencies:
- EQ (Emotional Intelligence): Ability to use and manage emotions in ways to communicate effectively, overcome challenges, and navigate conflict. Able to read the room and motivated to achieve satisfactory group outcomes.
- Product Knowledge: Knowledge of AML's instrumentation product line.
- Problem Solver: Can link shared information from various sources to impact on supply of parts. Doesn't necessarily know all the answers but has the ability to FIND the answers.
- Communication: Can clearly communicate in English technical and non technical information to the entire business unit.
- Organizational skills: ability to organize and systematize both physical inventory and digital information.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, or similar roles is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry materials up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, bend, and walk for extended periods of time.
Compensation
$42,000.00 - $48,750.00 per year
